Things to do

There are countless kid/family things to do in Boise. The zoo, aquarium, Roaring Springs Waterpark, Discovery Center, and Children’s Museum, to name a few must sees. There also are indoor trampoline gyms and plenty of arcade fun places like Wahooz, Dave and Buster’s, and Big Al’s.

You are just minutes away from downtown shopping and The Boise Town Square Mall. Our family’s favorite place to shop is at the beautiful outdoor mall The Village in Meridian. The short drive there is so worth it for the large selection of shops/restaurants and the pretty landscape & fountain.

There is always something fun going on downtown. Whether it’s the seasonal Saturday farmer’s market, a Boise State football game, professional hockey game, or an exciting night at the bar/club- there is always something going on for everyone.

There are so many beautiful hikes to explore close by. You can see the white cross at the top of the city’s favorite hike, Table Rock, from our rooftop patio. Just a few minutes away, you can park at the old Idaho Penitentiary to begin this amazing 2 hour, moderately challenging hike. Be sure to hike Camel’s Back hike as well, that is a shorter hike that’s only 15 minutes away.

Visiting the river greenbelt is a must during any season. Fishing, floating, and kayaking during the summer- and biking, walking, running along the scenic trails all year round.

Boise is a golfing oasis. There are over 20 gorgeous courses in the area, but our place is located near the best one- Warm Springs. The scenery is unmatched with the river running through and wildlife nearby. We love how it’s family friendly and has special weekend pricing.
